In the tent later that evening, we played around in the shower a bit, then sat in the hot tub and shared the day’s events.

“You spooked your observer?” Aevee asked with wide eyes.

“I heard someone fall over.”

Talulah looked annoyed, “There are no unfamiliar scents though. If it were one of those wererat things, I’d expect a different scent from the Muskani in the area. There’s nothing out of the ordinary as far as I can tell.”

“Same here. The fact remains though. No less than a spy apiece is watching Fiona and Monique. That means our enemies can infiltrate anywhere at any time. That’s not good,” Nalin said.

“You know what that would mean, right? Walled cities, difficult to sneak through entryways, patrols with specialized detection spells or gear, a general sense of paranoia…” I listed out the basics for them.

“Hmm… This is true. However, perhaps the Tribes are a bit too lax, as it were.” Aevee said.

“Perhaps we should wait until we’re on the road toward Hesperia? Without as many people around, whoever it is will be easier to track.” Talulah suggested.

“Huntress of the Plains. How easy would it be for someone to track us without our knowledge in the deserts and wastelands on your road forward, where not even footprints remain long in the sand?” Nalin asked formally.

Talulah visibly deflated.

“This sucks,” Monique summed up aptly.

“Yup, a professional wouldn’t get caught in just about anything we could try to trap them, is my guess,” I said.

“Pity I can’t go with you. I’ve tracked animals across vast swaths of the countryside. Your pursuers would eventually have to be visible. I shall, however, pass on to other Aviana to watch out for anyone suspicious. Word travels fast among the Aviana, so someone will be available to assist you. You have but to flag one of them down and mention my name. But that is of less importance than where we find ourselves at this precise moment,” Aevee said, giving me a look of interest.

“I see.”

She’d said she was going to try us out when we were rested. I quickly turned to the four claiming me as theirs.

“Can I?”

Four sets of eyes looked at me in alarm, then amusement.

“And Mr. Harem finally shows himself,” Monique teased.

Talulah had a silent chat with Fiona and Nalin, both of whom nodded with amused expressions.

“You have our permission if you need it. Monique?” Talulah asked.

“She is my next prey,” Aevee pointed out.

“Sure, I get to watch, right?” Monique inquired.

“You might be a little busy,” Nalin said with a small smile.

Nalin rose from the tub and went out to the sleeping area after toweling off a little. She returned bearing a small harness and a…

Monique gasped. “Oh. My. God. You made one.”

I stared in disbelief at what looked like a functional strap-on rig in Nalin’s hands as she held it out for display. A clear glass phallus with a broad base in one hand, and a harness for it designed with waist and leg straps in the other, Nalin grinned widely.
